More on IP Imperialism

May 10, 2005

Prof. Michael Geist of Ottawa University laments the US strategy of linking strong intellectual property as a condition for free trade.  He shares my views on this matter.  But he’s not taking things sitting down.  He’s proposing a counterpart to the US’s Special 301 Lists which he calls the IP Bullied List — one that will include those countries forced by the US to cave on IP issues in exchange for free trade.  Good luck with the list!
